The standard SC80 SplitCore pole already provides an excellent balance between camera distance, handling, and comfort. It is the recommended all-round setup for kiteboarding, wingfoiling, and many other action sports.
Increasing total pole length to 120 cm creates greater camera separation, resulting in a more immersive third-person perspective, a stronger follow-cam effect, and more dynamic footage.
For kiteboarding, 80 cm works works but 120 cm or 160 cm is often the preferred setup, as the pull from the kite helps support the additional leverage created by the longer pole.
